The idea for Allserv began forming during one of the most challenging chapters in the energy industry’s history – the 2010 Gulf oil spill. Operations were at a standstill. Crews were grounded. Across the Gulf, companies were scrambling to stabilize critical systems and ensure business continuity.

In the middle of that storm, Chris Collins and Chris Kadavil found themselves in a windowless conference room, working around the clock to untangle contracts, reconcile data, and get operations moving again. It wasn’t glamorous – but it was the kind of work that kept companies afloat.

Through that experience, they noticed a pattern. Time and again, companies were fighting the same issue: millions of dollars in inventory and no clear visibility into what they actually had. Collins, who started his career offshore in 1997 before rising through global supply chain leadership, had spent decades watching these inefficiencies play out firsthand. Kadavil, a technologist and problem-solver by nature, saw an opportunity to fix it with smarter systems and better data.
